Happy Birthday Ryan!!

So excited that Ryan is turning 25 today!! :) Now I don't sound so much older than him!! We don't have any big plans, we went to TN for Christmas and that pretty much drained the account!! :( But he knows I love him and I will make dinner tonight and try to make him feel special!! :) Last year I surprised him with a romantic getaway to Clearwater, so maybe next year we can do something special!! :)

Let's try this again!!

So..... after 3 months on Clomid and no such luck, I have finally picked up a book I bought a long time ago (I just thought I'd be pregnant before I had to read it). It's call "Getting Pregnant Naturally" because honestly, I didn't want to go on fertility meds to begin with, but I was getting impatient. So now that I know they didn't work for me.... I'm going the natural/holistic route. So, beginning this next cycle.... onto herbs, tinctures and even some back cracking, we shall see what comes of it.
Side note, I did get a positive ovulation test today, just tested out of the blue and well... my timing was perfect!! :) So thats good to know that I am ovulating on my own now and pretty much on time too (CD16)!! Ryan is working some crazy hours this week and we have Daniel and Stephanie's wedding this weekend, but we'll find the time!! :)
Here's to 2009!!!

Onto Month Two

Without having to give much detail, I will be beginning my second cycle on clomid in 2 days! :) I went through 5 pregnancy tests this past cycle, and honestly I don't think thats that bad! :) Ryan and I are also beginning the 6 month process of becoming foster parents. We would love to be able to pour our love into a baby who needs it, even if it is temporary. We are open to adoption, and would love to foster an infant with the possibility of adoption. I will keep you posted on our progress! :)

Ovulation Time!!!

I can't tell you how surprised I was to see

a positive OPK!! I was on the phone and totally forgot that I took the test..... went to it..... and was shocked!! :) I have a digital reader.... and it had a smiley face!!! It turned off before I could get a picture! But there are the lines..... stinking hard to figure out lines!! But they match and thats all that matters!! Just thought I'd share that Clomid worked for me this cycle and I'm so excited!!!

CD?? I can't even remember!! :)

I've been doing the opk's every day now for a couple of days, and I'm not going to lie, I feel like I've wasted money everytime I get a negative result. Wasted money using one of the tests that is, those things are A- Confusing to read and B- Freaking expensive. I bought the digital one, thinking maybe I could get refills for it..... no such luck, they dont sell them. The regular ones are hard to read because my eyes play tricks on me, and I think both lines match and ryan comes along and says they don't!! Grr..... all in the life and times of a woman TTC!! :)

CD3...... 1st day on Clomid

So..... I woke up this morning..... remembered that my mom and my sisters and I had plans to go to the grand opening of the new Marshalls in Apopka/Wekiva, so excited, but then I remembered that today was CD3 and that was the day Dr Lamvu told me to start Clomid. Day one.... not too bad, I was definitely feeling crampy.... I took a nap (but that was partly because I got up at 8am to go shopping), but overall so far so good!! I am interested in seeing if I can get a positive OPK this month!! :)

3 Months!!!!

Well.... after TTCing for almost a year now, I finally went for labs and followed up with my Dr. about my crazy out of the ordinary cycles. She said my labs all came back normal, which means my brain is telling my ovaries to ovulate and they aren't listening (big surprise that my ovaries are rebellious too!!). I don't have PCOS, that she can tell so far, so that was good news. She did put me on Clomid (which could cause multiples, yipee), and I start this month and I am taking it for the next 3 months, so hopefully we will know by November if it works.
The stressful thing for me is that if I don't get prego in the next 3 months, she is going to refer me to a reproductive endocrinologist..... so I am hoping this works!!
I will keep you posted!! :)

New Year!

So its been forever since I've blogged, sort of seems silly to even blog without a baby to talk about, so we will talk about trying for a baby!! :) We have been TTC for 4 months now, actually had a miscarriage 2 months ago, thankfully we never recieved a positive pregnancy test, so our hopes weren't up. I was sure though, after being 3 weeks late and having all the symptoms of pregnancy, but then the next month things were back to normal and back on track. So I am going to be doing quite a few OPK tests this month, so we can try again. But if we don't get a BFP this month, then we will give it a break for a couple of months so I am not due or huge and uncomfortable for our Christmas trip to the mountains. We are going with my immediate family to the Blue Ridge Mts for a week at Christmas, we are going to cut down a fresh tree and decorated it and have a really different Christmas experience this year. We hope to have a little bundle with us on this trip, but if not hopefully soon thereafter! I will keep this up to date with our journey.
